The Kiss Seen Round the World
There was an event that happened this month that was in the world of entertainment earth-shattering, and beautiful. One of the most extraordinary and rich characters on TV today, Kurt on Glee had a scene seen around the world.
While it was somewhat expected, and hardly the first gay kiss on TV, but I really am moved to tears with how beautiful it is, and to see such progressive values on a show targeted at teens. Disney could learn a lot from the writers of Glee.
Maybe this is the start of sea change for shows targeted at teens and if that’s the case I’m really excited and hopeful.
I did come across one response from right wing media by Victoria Jackson, a rather sad character who I will avoid linking to because for once I really hope you don’t search for her hate, this moment is too important and far too beautiful to worry about hate.

Cute.
ABC’s “Pretty Little Liars” has been doing a strong teen-lesbian subplot since its earliest episodes (dating from summer 2010). I can’t say this show is anywhere near as good as “Glee” (it’s very soapy and has been called “Desperate Housewives” for teens), but I’ve been enjoying keeping up with it largely because of how it handles this issue.
